The XCELL™ Apollo™ XT is the latest model from the pioneer of alloy skate wheels. With an aggressive design and bold spokes, the Apollo wheel is sure to turn heads - and improve your ride.
Like others in the XT series, it still fits all the popular tires like Evolve 7" and Kenda 8" tires...and everything in between. And XT-series wheels are made for our new RS series, flat-profile tires, at 165mmx62mm.
Measuring 53mm between the rims, this wide wheel has to be seen to be believed. It increases the contact patch as well as the overall track width of the board, resulting in a very confidence-inspiring ride and incredible grip.
Precision CNC Milled and Lathed from 7075-T6 aluminum, these dynamic wheels are extremely strong (and weigh in around 296 grams). Custom simulation studies for stress, as well as real-world testing, modification, refinement, and improvement, have resulted in the ultimate wheels for premium e-skate super sleds.
In plastic, two-part wheels, the bearings are in different halves of the wheel, resulting in misaligned bearings, which causes wheel wobble and increased rolling resistance. Plastic, two-part wheels simply do not have the high accuracy to compete in high speed road courses.
XCELL™ wheels, as a core innovating feature, contain both critical wheel bearings in a single piece of massively strong aerospace aluminum, compressing an aluminum spacer.
This setup increases accuracy of the bearings with respect to not only the shaft, but to each other – resulting in longer, better rolls and truer spin - along with an elimination of wobble present in lower quality plastics. You can feel the difference.
FINISH:
XCELL™ wheels are milled of 7075-T6 Aluminum (far stronger than 6001), lathed, and then smoothed and anodized for an outstanding appearance. Choose an anodized color like blue, red, green, or black. Or try our new Nickel-Plated finish!
BEARINGS:
To maximize performance, we use top-quality Japanese NSK bearings. Or bring your own. The size needed is 6001 series, and 8 are required, along with four 22.4mm long aluminum spacers.
SCREWS:
For the Apollo XT™ wheel, incredibly strong alloy steel screws are included. All screws enter from the back side, and anchor into the front half of the wheel. Unlike plastic wheels, changing all of the tires just went from being a nightmare to a 10 minute operation - for all four wheels!
FOR KALY NYC GEAR DRIVES:
We now offer anadapter kitthat allows all XCELL™ wheels to run on Kaly 2.0, XL40, and XL50 gear drives. This offers an incredible amount of customization of your Kaly board by opening up a ton of wheel options previously unavailable. For Kaly applications, make sure to select the 10mm bearing option.
XCELL™ PULLEYS:
A stock Lacroix pulley is fully compatible with Land-Surf™ XCELL™ wheels.
But we also have produced the most accurate, high-quality 72T pulley available for the Nazare and Lonestar. The main feature of this precision pulley is that it “keys” into the back of the XCELL™ wheel line, creating a more integrated, stronger interface between wheel and pulley.
In black, the pulley is alsohard-anodized, which is a much tougher finish than the standard anodizing that comes on the stock pulley. The result is much less wear and tear from the belt, and a pulley than maintains it’s gear teeth longer without becoming “sharp toothed”.
XCELL™ ANODIZED M12 NUTS:
These center-lock inspired wheel nuts are awesome M12 nuts that come in 6 anodized colors. All with a lower profile than the stock nylock nuts for a sleek accent to any wheel. Available for Hypertrucks as well as the Matrix II axles as found on the Prototipo® and Jaws®. Works with any wheel.
PERFORMANCE:
Enjoy riding with your XCELL™ wheels and feel their sharper handling and true spin. The newfound precision of your board will be something you feel with every turn, and every stretch of smooth tarmac!
4 Complete XCELL™ APOLLO™ XT wheels in 7075-T6 aerospace aluminum
20 high strength, alloy-steel screws
8 Japanese NSK precision steel bearings and aluminum spacers.
3mm Ball Driver
Air Valve extension
1-year warranty against manufacturing defects
NOTE: Make sure to specify in the comments at checkout which model of board you have if it's a Lacroix Nazare/Lonestar (and whether pulley drive or Falcon GEAR DRIVE, Supersport, Jaws, or Prototipo). This is to ensure the correct screw length is supplied.
Lacroix Falcon Gear Drives require a 1mm longer spacer, which is provided with wheel purchase on request.
3D Servisas "Fat Boy" trucks and gear drive will also work with the correct screws and axle spacer. You can use M4x30mm flat top screws, 7mm pully standoffs, and a .5mm axle spacer for correct fit.
Make sure to specify that you are using a specific brand or type of drive, or if you are using the stock pulleys.
M12 wheel nuts in anodized colors (choose 7/16th for Protos / 3DS)
Mounting specs:
1) 10mm or 12mm axles (depending on bearings)
2) Length of both bearings and the middle 22.4mm spacer: 38.4mm (You need about 2" of axle to run these). 3) Screw pattern is MBS-based. Front wheels use M4x30 screws, rears use M4x50 screws (depending on application, pulley, or gear drive used)
XCELL™ wheels can fit just about anywhere MBS wheels do.
What's the use case for these wheels? IMHO, bling and performance. With the lower profile RS wheels and wider rims it gives the board a more stable platform (not that it was bad before). This is great for higher speeds and more intense carves. In comparison to the stock MBS wheels I think you loose some flexibility. With the Apollo wheels I'm more sensitive of the riding environment. I'm not planning on off roading with these wheels. It's not an all purpose wheelset. With these there's an opportunity cost. In the end its up to you. The entry point is high, however it's certainly worth it if you've got the disposable income. I used these on my stock LaCroix NSS. Aside from appearances (which are amazing), this is a niche product, for an already niche group or esk8. Getting these is like buying a base Posrche 911 and then adding another $50k in upgrades. In closing, if feel wheels like this is what should have been standard on a LaCroix.

Get what you pay for
These wheels are a work of art. There's a reason they are $500. The quality, presentation, customer service, and shipping speed are premium. If you're willing to shell out the cash you will not regret it. I promise you that. The only issue is you'll now be nervous to damage the wheels everytime you ride because they are that damn beautiful.

BadASS nuff said!
Love the Apollo rims they are great quality and made with precision, with the addition of the tires it gave my board a wider looking profile and MEAN LOOKS! can't wait to see what other rim designs or products are in store for the future!!
Just what I was looking for. The peace of mind to know you can ride out a nose dive. The Fangs just saved me tonight when my GT took a sudden stop, the fangs rolled and I rode out the dive. A must for your board.
Product looks great installed and the idea of having a clean solution to any potential nosedive is well worth the cost. Solid construction and easy installation. The only criticism I have is that the fang doesn’t have a formed curvature to match the rail installation. It requires some flexing to **** in the front screws. Once installed, it’s a non-issue, I’m hoping the required bending doesn’t sacrifice structural integrity.
The FANGS GT are meant to conform to the curl of the rails of the GT boards once the screws are tight. It will not affect the strong, unbreakable texture of the Fangs.
The installation was seamless and worked really well. Even with the coaster, it has less body than a stock pintx bumper for those that seek uniformity in the presention…but the insurance plan for a possible nosedive is worth the sacrifice of plastic and teeth.
I would personally like to thank all involved in the process of creating this device. Thank you for your time to help prevent events that are caused by a huger problem in the software. (my opinion). Jumping off to save my butt from injury of a nosedive is not good advice to any end-user. Good design is the answer to many complex issues today.
Kudos to all and keep up the great work. Imagination and faith can be powerful people.
