Very happy to see the stoked stocked V5 sensor on the platypus pads now, I had some issues with the XR platypus disengaging at lower speeds around 5 mph on one board and around 18 to 20 mph on a different board and ended up replacing the sensor With one of these stoked stocked V5 sensors and I am totally in love with my platypus foot pads again .
Thanks Matt!
Can’t say enough about the build quality! Not much else to say besides that it’s a bumper. But I use simple stop so I’m always reversing slightly before dropping the rear of the board. This bumper has taken a beating and still looks great. Will likely replace again in the future after I’ve scraped it up enough.
All I can really say about this product is that it’s built very well. Thankfully, I’ve never had to rely on the fangs, but I have mounted a board that was powered off and the fan allowed the board to roll away pretty easily so I can imagine they would work very well in the event of a cut out.
This bumper with the wheels already installed and no assembly is too easy. I like the built in grip handle for easy pickup. You can see the full width of the light. What’s not to like? Looks good. I have nose took a nose dive yet but the comfort of the idea the wheels are there in case I do is peace of mind.
Platys have always been my favorite. Had a small issue and Matt responded pretty quickly. Also sent them out as fast as he could so I'd get them before DirtSurferz. Platys for life!
Don't know why but the sensor is weird. Nosedived me on my first test ride. Changed some settings in vesc tool and added a Furniture pad. But with certain shoes or stances the activation is still not guaranteed all the time. I found a way to make it work most of the times, but different people trying out my board may still find issues as I realised.
Love the look and the comfort, but I feel like I have to jump through too many hoops to make the sensor work halfway reliable.
