Safety on a Onewheel is paramount, which is why we invented Fangs after our own nasty nosedive on a Onewheel Plus, back in 2018. After many prototypes and released versions of Fangs, now years later the design has been honed to perfection. Give yourself the gift of a second chance at recovery against unexpected nosedives!

What can FANGS do for me?  I can't afford to be injured.

Fangs provide you with 3 benefits:

1. WHEN you nosedive (not IF), you'll have more time to react and take action, rather than the instantaneous "shoulder into the ground" (and possibly collar bone breakage) many of us have experienced. Without Fangs, your board will stop almost instantly - but your body will keep going...down to the ground to meet the pavement. Fangs wheels allow the front of the board to roll with little friction, and it's this precious few seconds of extra time that can mean the difference between a minor scrape or visiting the ER for a broken collar bone.
2. Since the wheels ROLL on the ground, it saves your bumper from being scraped up and chewed through, and keeps your board free of damage for longer. Wheels are easily replaceable and quick to change - and far cheaper to replace than an entire bumper.
3. Then there is the FANG Drag - where you slam the nose down from a stop and ride it up to your chosen speed...there's no faster way to accelerate on a Onewheel, and it's a lot of fun to practice and train your muscle memory so that when a nose dive does occur (and it will), you can recover without a crash.
   

Won't they catch on dirt trails?

The wheels of the Fangs GT bumper are 18mm wide, so they don't dig in to the dirt or stick out far enough to catch on terrain. On soft dirt they perform the same as a bumper without wheels. On hard packed dirt or grass, they actually do roll quite well, unlike a standard bumper.

Is there any warranty?

Yes, we have a fantastic warranty for Fangs users!

All Fangs™ come with a 1-year warranty and a guarantee. If any issues arise during use, we'll replace it!   Just contact us if you ever have an issue.

Are they hard to install?

Not at all! Only a single T20 Torx key (included) is needed to install, and it only takes 5-6 minutes to do so. The four included M5 screws are stainless steel and provided in your kit.

I've heard people say I should just "learn the board" and not use Fangs as they are just training wheels.

You certainly could learn to ride without Fangs, but what they don't tell you is that "learn the board" means you'll be hitting the pavement many times, and getting the road rash or broken bones on your road to "learning". If you value your skin and the health of your body, why not make it easier and safer to ride? Many experienced riders keep the Fangs on because it's an extra layer of protection against injury. In the same way, you CAN ride without a helmet or pads - but that doesn't mean it's a good idea!  Be smart, ride safe, and live to ride another day - instead of waiting to heal up until you can ride again. Avoiding injury doesn't make you look uncool...it makes you look smart!

TOUGHNESS TEST VS. STOCK:

The stainless steel CNC axles are custom made for the FANGS GT, and each axle is secured by two CNC Aluminum axle carriers.  There are no external screws for the axle, resulting in a very clean, streamlined look that is unlike any other bumper.

FANGS GT INCLUDES:

• UHMW plastic construction - super tough and unbreakable with a 5-6mm thick outer shell, it's built to take hits!
• New 43x19mm wheels of 100A urethane
• 4 Stainless Steel Torx Screws, and Torx T20 L-key
• 2 Stainless Steel Custom M6 CNC Axles
• Wheel axles insert from the inside of the bumper, so losing an axle is impossible
  
• 4 CNC aluminum axle carriers
• 2 Stainless Steel bearings per wheel
• 2 year warranty against any manufacturing defects

The Fangs GT are so tough...if you somehow broke one, you'd get a free replacement under warranty. After taking a 5lb hammer to the bumper and trying to break it, we're sure that whatever you throw at it, Fangs GT can take the hits! 

NOTE:  FANGS GT is a front bumper only, but you can add a BASH rear bumper as an option that will match in color.
